Holy Week Wednesday

Good morning! THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS!! You are forgiven, set free and made new!!

Today is Wednesday and as we journey closer to the cross we remember the last time that Jesus would share a meal with his disciples, his friends.

As we move closer to Good Friday, reflecting on last supper there is this moment:

“Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:23-24‬ ‭NIV

I am often asked if Judas was forgiven, even after what he did? Some people say yes and some say No. Scripture tells us that Satan entered Judas and then left him after the betrayal was complete. Judas was used by Satan to fulfill God’s plan. To save God’s children. After Judas completed the betrayal Satan left him. Judas was so grieved by what he had done that he took his own life. So I believe that Judas was forgiven.

Today remember these words from Jesus himself as he hung on the cross, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”.
